Charges have been laid against four individuals allegedly involved in the drowning death of 27-year-old Deepinderjeet Singh during an alleged robbery along the Hobart waterfront on the night of 29 January.
Tributes continue to flow for Singh who is being remembered by many as a "kind and friendly young man".
Singh was sitting on the waterfront with a female friend when they were allegedly pushed into the water, in what police described as an attempt to steal the woman's handbag.
"The woman was rescued, but Deepinder could not swim and he lost his life," Parminderjit Singh from Punjabi Society, Tasmania, said.

Manjit Boparai is coordinating the efforts of sending the victim's body to India.
He told SBS Punjabi, "As the community mourns this tragic death, it has sparked hundreds of condolences and tributes".
