Key Points
  • FAFAG is a non-profit volunteer Association that was formed by a group of Filipino, Australian and European families living in Geelong in September 1981.
  • The Association's goals were to organise social gatherings to promote a sense of community, preserve Philippine culture, and work with other ethnic groups to foster multicultural harmony.
  • FAFAG received a small Events Grant from the Victorian government for the first Pasko sa Geelong community event to celebrate Christmas in Filipino style with festive foods, group carols, prayers, dancing and bamboo parols (lanterns).
