After securing their A-League Men Premiership and AFC Cup titles early this year, football team Central Coast Mariners has set their historic treble win with their A-League Grand Final success against Melbourne Victory on Saturday 25 May 2024.

Fulfilling a fairytale dream, Mariners has set the record as the first A-League Men club in history to win three titles in one season.

Their dramatic win also made history as their youngest player, 18-year-old Miguel Di Pizio, became the youngest player to kick a goal in the A-League Grand Final history in front of a sold-out record 21,379 audience in their home stadium.

With the theme 'Humanity', the centre of Sydney becomes even brighter and more colourful as the Vivid Sydney is now on from May 24 to June 15.

In this 2024 celebration, Vivid Sydney focuses on four pillars: 'Vivid Light, Vivid Music, Vivid Ideas and Vivid Food'.

Festival-goers will see and experience the different light projections, installations, music, food and 'interactive activities' with the eight kilometres light walk from the Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbor Bridge at Circular Quay, The Rocks and Walsh Bay to Barangaroo, and the Goods Line in Ultimo.

Two Filipino actors on 'Bridgerton'

Hundreds of thousands of Filipinos feel proud as they share their excitement having seen two Filipino actors appear on the Netflix drama series 'Bridgerton' Season 3.

In its latest season, the American drama series features Filipino actors James Bradwell who portrays the role of Lord Basilio, and Martin Sarreal as Lord Barnell.

In their separate Instagram posts, Bradwell and Sarreal shared how honoured they are to be part of the latest season and represent their heritage.

In James Bradwell's Instagram post, he shared that it was a great opportunity to be a part of the series in its third season and bring in the first Filipino name to the roster of Lords and Debutantes.

He furthers that when the role was first offered to him under a different name of East Asian heritage, he wondered whether "there was an opportunity to rechristen my Lord with a name representative of my own heritage".

After reaching out to the production and with their enthusiastic and encouraging response, Bradwell suggested a number of Filipino surnames and Basilio was born!

Bridgerton is a drama series created by Chris Van Dusen based on the books by Julia Quinn, each of which focuses on the siblings of the Bridgerton family, set in the early 1800s.

The third series focuses on the siblings Colin and Penelope.
