Professional wrestler Anthony Bowens has revealed he is bisexual after appearing in a Youtube video with his boyfriend.

“It was this past fall and I was three months into a relationship with my boyfriend, Michael Pavano,” Bowens has told .

“Mike and I had uploaded a video to YouTube on his channel called ‘The Laughing Challenge,’ where he described me as his boyfriend.”
“The video was a blast to do, but I worried that someone from the wrestling world would stumble across it and learn my secret. I decided to let it be posted anyway.”
After receiving positive feedback from fans who had discovered the video, Bowens then decided to officially come out on his Facebook page.

“I’m not going to make this a long winded post but I think it’s time,” he wrote.

“Just wanted to let everyone know I’m bisexual. I look forward to changing perceptions and breaking stereotypes as I continue on my journey.

“I have zero patience for negativity so if this bothers you please delete me. Thanks!”
Bowens turned his phone off immediately after hitting send on the post, not knowing how people would react.

After 30 minutes, he asked his boyfriend to check his Facebook page.

“He had the biggest smile on his face, our friends in the room cheered, and I made the decision to turn on my phone. The response was overwhelming positive.”
Bowens says he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives by coming out publicly.

“I realised I have a unique platform to spread awareness about ongoing issues in the world, to break stereotypes and show everyone that they can be themselves and do what ever they put their minds to no matter what their sexuality is.”

The New Jersey based couple has since received an outpouring of support on social media globally.
