Long-running reality TV show Project Runway has had a makeover, returning to its first network Bravo with a whole new lineup of talent.

The fashion design show, which premiered in 2004 with host Heidi Klum, will now be hosted by model Karlie Kloss and feature previous winner Christian Siriano as mentor.

However, there has also been a welcome shift towards inclusiveness, with news that this season's group of models includes plus-sized and transgender women.

“We have full-figured models, we have African-American models, we have our first transgender model in Project Runway this season,” returning judge Nina Garcia said last week during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Siriano said that he was looking forward to nurturing up-and-coming talent in the fashion world.

Project Runway has offered such wonderful opportunities for so many and I’m excited to take on this role as a mentor,” the designer said. “I hope to guide and inspire the new talent on the rise.”

The show has previously featured trans designer Ari South, who transitioned between her first and second appearances on program.
