Miley Cyrus has dropped the powerful music video to her new song 'Mother's Daughter', featuring a fabulous red latex get-up and a number of LGBTIQ+ people, including skateboarder Lacey Baker as well as models Casil McArthur and Aaron Philip.

"Mother’s Daughter music video out now!" the 26-year-old tweeted.

"Music makes movements! We got the power!"
Aaron Philip, a trans woman of colour who is represented by Elite Model Management NYC, took to social media to express her gratitude at being involved.

"Thank you Miley," Philip tweeted. "I love you so much. What a phenomenal video."

She added: "Not enough words to encapsulate how deeply honored I am."

Before releasing the clip, Cyrus shared a number of the video's cast members on social media alongside quotes from each woman.

“As a black girl in a wheelchair who happens to be trans, I just want to have a good life and do good in whatever my endeavors consist of, regardless of what that might mean in the face of oppression." Philip's quote read.

"I do not identify or label myself as an activist, but that’s just because I care - and I think everyone should, activist or not. I fight for my freedom by being myself.”
