It might be time for Queer Eye's 'Fab 5' to shuffle over and make some room - because there's a new queer makeover posse in town.

A mockumentary series about an all-lesbian makeover reality TV show, appropriately titled Butch Pal for the Straight Gal, could soon be presented to TV executives around the world, with the show's creative team raising funds to complete post-production on the series pilot.

“If you want more queer television, you have to fight for it,” Ally Johnson, the show’s creator, said in a statement.

“After a year of doing just that, it’s becoming clear that we are not alone. People all over the world want this show to exist, and by the power of Gay Jesus we’re going to make it happen!”

According to the show's o page, Butch Pal for the Straight Gal is a "mockumentary comedy series about the first-ever queer female makeover show."

The description adds: "Because lesbians can do makeovers, too."
Earlier this year, the team behind Butch Pal successfully raised the funds to shoot and produce a 36-page pilot episode for the show - but now they need help to finish what they started.

"We need one more round of support," the project's page reads, calling on lovers of LGBTIQ+ TV to support the comedy series.

"Post-production is an incredibly important part of the creative process, and with your help, we will be able to present a fully realised pilot presentation to network executives, industry leaders and working professionals that can take Butch Pal to the next level."

It continues: "We fully intend on BPSG being the next thing in your streaming cue, so when our show comes up on your streaming device under 'new & trending,' you can say 'Yup. I did that.'"

The team's crowd-funding page has already raised over $12,000 of the production's $15,000 goal.
