This Easter long weekend, TV viewers around Australia embraced the change of pace brought on by social distancing measures by settling in for a night of slow TV.

Finding popularity with Scandinavian audiences back in 2009, 'Slow TV' has become recently and Saturday night's The Chocolate Factory: Inside Cadbury Australia on SBS was no exception, with audiences tuning in to see how Cadbury Australia's chocolate is made, just in time for a visit from the Easter Bunny.

Some enjoyed a fresh insight into the science and technology behind Cadbury's incredible robots...

There were some unexpected nods to classic horror films...

And a newfound appreciation for Australia's sugar industry.

Who needs theme parks when you have the Cadbury Australia factory to deliver thrills...

Although, not everyone thought they would last the distance...

There were touching moments of solidarity...

And a very special Easter egg preview...

It was just what the doctor ordered.

All in all, everyone had fun - and, well, a mouthful.

The Chocolate Factory: Inside Cadbury Australia has an encore screening on Sunday April 12 on SBS VICELAND at 3:35pm. Join the conversation on social media #SlowTV
