Actor and 90s screen icon Andie MacDowell is set to star in a gay-themed Christmas movie, giving off the major Hallmark energy our escapist holiday-season dreams are made of.

The Golden Globe winner will play a ranch-handling mum in Dashing In December, a romantic comedy from the Paramount Network. The film tells the story of a New York financier, Wyatt (played by The Young and the Restless star Peter Porte), who returns to his rural hometown for Christmas and - you guessed it - stumbles upon an a handsome stranger.

"Love comes at different times in different ways," Deb tells her son in the film's trailer.

"You can't anticipate it. But if we find it, we better hold on to it."
"I...desperately...need to see this?" On Twitter user wrote. 

"And it looks SO BAD?! But SO GREAT?!"

Another tweeted: "A cheesy homo Christmas movie AND Andie MacDowell is in it?? You bet your ass I’m going to be tuning in."

2020 is turning out the LGBTIQ+ inclusive holiday films this year, with Fran Drescher starring in and Kristen Stewart fronting Hulu's .
