The immense power of basketball legend Dwyane Wade's family unit has well and truly jumped out.
Wade, along with his wife Gabrielle Union, have , Dwyane's 12-year-old daughter, who recently came out as trans.
Hitting the red carpet for the Better Brothers Los Angeles 6th annual Truth Awards over the weekend, both Dwyane and Union gushed with pride on their respective social media platforms, sharing their love and admiration for Zaya.
"Everyone allow her to re-introduce herself her name is Zaya Wade!" Dwyane, who played for the Miami Heat for close to 16 years, wrote on Instagram.
"Last night was Zaya’s first red carpet and we couldn’t have been prouder of how she handled the questions that were asked of her."
He added: "She has emerged as one of the young faces and voices for the LGBTQ+ community."
Meanwhile, Union, who is Zaya's proud step-mother, shared a video of the supportive trio on social media.
"We keep moving forward," Union wrote.
"We keep leading with love, light, and hope for a better more inclusive world. Stay put and stay mad if you want. We keep it pushing. Always."
The love for the family was apparent, with high-profile friends sending messages of support for Zaya's big night.
American singer Tank commented on Dwyane's post, writing: "Protect and support your family at all costs! Those who understand what life is truly about support you. Those who are driven by social agendas, religious agendas, and even their own hateful agendas will continue to miss the beauty of this thing called life."
He added: "You my brother are living a life full of love and acceptance. The universe will continue to reward your elevated existence. I pray that the hate, the ridicule, and any other weapons formed against you and your family will NEVER PROSPER! Love has an army too!"
