It's been a run of epic proportions since Walid Regragui took over the reins at Morocco in September. In the nine matches since, Morocco has been the only team to score goals, albeit one was an own goal against Canada in the World Cup group stage.
They stand at the precipice of the biggest sporting spectacle in the world, they have parlayed that incredible defensive effort in a push to the semi-finals of the tournament, knocking off Spain and Portugal so far in the knockout rounds.
However, the man at the helm has ambition for more.
"Why not reach the final of the World Cup? We will show great desire and try to pull off an upset," said Regragui.
"We've come to this competition to change mindsets within our continent."
Morocco have already proven giant-killers at the World Cup, and have already acheived history as the first African side to make the semi-finals and Regragui sees no reason that mold-breaking run can't continue.
"Before every match people thought we would get knocked out, but we're still here," added Regragui. "We're getting closer to our dreams and we'll fight to get there.
"If we say the semi-final is enough, I don't agree. We aren't satisfied with the semi-final and being the first African team to do that. We want to go further.
"You might think that's crazy, but a bit of craziness is good.
"We're hungry. I don't know if it will be enough, but we want Africa to be on top of the world. I know we're not favourites but we're confident."
"The further you get, the more difficult the games are. We are playing the world champions with world-class players and a very good coach [Didier Deschamps] - possibly the best in the world."
Morocco's captain, Romain Saiss, was stretched off the field against Portugal with a hamstring injury. He is not expected to start the match, but there are brighter signs elsewhere.
Abdelhamid Sabiri and Hakim Ziyech are both recovering from knocks sustained against Portugal. Naif Aguerd is recovering from a hamstring injury, he has been spotted in training, while Noussair Mazraoui has reportedly recovered from a hip flexor injury retake his position in the side at left back.
When asked about the injuries, Regragui didn't commit or go into details.
"As everyone knows, we have a number of injuries but we have an excellent medical staff and they are working very hard and coming in with good news every day," said Regragui.
"No-one is out for now, but no-one is definitely in either. We will put out the best side possible."
One player who will definitely be missing is forward Walid Cheddira, who is suspended after being shown a red card during the closing stages of the match against Portugal.
