Tour de France Femmes 2023: Stage-by-Stage

The second edition of the Tour de France Femmes is coming to Australian screens, with all the action from the eight-day stage race LIVE and FREE on SBS and SBS On Demand.

The second-ever edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is set to see the top cyclists in the world battle it out across France.

SBS will have every stage on offer from July 23-30, which commences in Puy de Dome and finishes down in the south of France in Pau.

All eight stages will air LIVE on SBS and SBS On Demand, along with daily highlights shows, replays, and Bonjour Le Tour, our nightly highlights program.
Catch-up and analysis content will also be available via SBS On Demand, with the SBS Sport website housing all the latest news and interviews from afar.

Stage-by-Stage guide to the Tour de France Femmes on SBS

Stage 1 - Clermont-Ferrand > Clermont-Ferrand (124km) - Sunday, July 23


A flat stage designed for the sprinters, with a decisive final that includes the Côte de Durtol (1.7km) located 9km before the finish in Clermont-Ferrand.

Stage 2 - Clermont-Ferrand > Mauriac (148km) - Monday, July 24


A hilly Stage 2 will see the peloton tackle a 148km route into Mauriac with 2,500 metres of elevation and six ascents, including the Côte de Trébiac (3.5km at 5.8%) located just 1.5km from the finish line.

Stage 3 - Collonges-la-Rouge > Montignac-Lascaux (147km) - Tuesday, July 25


The peloton will contest a flatter stage with five short ascents, but it is pan-flat to the finish line for the last 10km.

Stage 4 - Cahors > Rodez (177km) - Wednesday, July 26


The longest stage of the event will see an altitude gain of 2,400 metres over its five ascents ahead of the finish in Rodez.

Stage 5 – Onet-le-Château > Albi (126km) - Thursday, July 27


The race heads further south into the Pyrénées for a flatter 126km route which features four ascents and a downhill section before a flat run-in to Albi for the finish.

Stage 6 - Albi > Blagnac (122km) - Friday, July 28


The races picks up where it left off on Stage 5, with a flat 122km route starting in Albi near-identical to the previous day, with four ascents and a flat run-in to Blagnac in southeastern France.

Stage 7 - Lannemezan > Col du Tourmalet (90km) - Sunday, July 30


The queen stage of the event could prove decisive in determining the fate of the GC, as the peloton tackle the Côte d'Aspin (12km at 6.5%) before the final ascent and summit finish atop the Col du Tourmalet (17km at 7.3%).

Stage 8 - Pau > Pau (22km) - Sunday, July 30


The eight-day stage race concludes with an individual time-trial, a highly requested addition to the Tour, which takes place in Pau before the winner of the event is crowned.
