The NBA's Kiki VanDeWeghe announced today that Murray has received a US$25,000 fine for what appeared to be an intentional strike to the groin area of Dallas Mavericks' Hardaway Jr two days ago.

After a collision between the two, Murray rose and swung his arm in the direction of Hardaway's groin, apparently making contact and causing Maverick to double over.

Murray received a flagrant-two foul on video review and was ejected from the game for his hit on the opposing guard.

The incident occurred in the third quarter, with four minutes 51 seconds left on the clock, and after it, Hardaway proceeded to score the next seven points to draw Dallas level.

Despite the loss of Murray (and to his undoubted relief) the Nuggets prevailed, winning 117-113.
