Australia's first National Aboriginal Art Gallery would be built at the old Royal Adelaide Hospital site if the South Australian Liberal Party wins the upcoming election.
The National Aboriginal Gallery would be the first of its kind in Australia, and the centerpiece of the redeveloped site, which would also include a $60 million international culinary school and a business start-up precinct.

With the South Australian election just over two weeks away, opposition leader Steven Marshall said the new gallery would provide a significant cultural and economic boost to the state.

"The National Aboriginal Gallery will be of international significance and attract visitors from across Australia and throughout the world."
s Cultural Officer, Tamaru Kartinyeri, told NITV News that Adelaide is the medical hub for the state, which means when people are visiting ill relatives, the museum would provide them with some form of entertainment.
“It's common knowledge that when you’re crook up north, you come down south to get medical treatment, so when their family and friends are down they can go to the center and view quality artwork, Mr Kartinyeri said.
“It will also be good to encourage our youth to pursue art, because most of the art galleries around SA at the moment are more retail stores instead of galleries. It’s a brilliant idea for them to aim to showcase their artwork.
Labor has also pledged to turn part of the site into a start-up hub focusing on artificial intelligence, robotics and renewable energy if they are re-elected.
