More than 100 bike riders from across the country will be travelling from the embassy in Canberra to unite in protest of January 26.
From the streets of South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales, Mob On Bikes Indigenous riders club (MOBIRC) will rule the roads with two wheels on Australia Day.
Queensland MOBIRC President, Bevan Buck Barba says their journey isn’t about the need for speed, it’s about uncovering Australia’s history has a black past.

“It's a day where Indigenous Australians are in protest against because the history that is linked to that specific day,” he explained.
“Because of the history from the first fleet and what truly happened, I, and I think most Indigenous people would agree, is ask to have the Australia Day celebration on another day.”
He expects people who are passionate about Indigenous affairs, enjoy the breeze in their hair, or those who like being out in the open road to join the convoy and unite as one, despite what Australia Day represents.
