As protesters wreck havoc across the United States following the death of black man George Floyd at the hands of Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin, a few tender, fleeting moments have emerged.
My Floyd was arrested after a shop attendant called the police, alleging he used a fraudulent $20 note to purchase items from their store in Minnesota.
Upon arrival, police arrested Mr Floyd, and Officer Chauvin knelt on his neck for approximately 9 minutes, while another Minneapolis police officer restrained Mr Floyd and a further two more watched on.
The incident was filmed and shared online, where it quickly went viral. In the video, Mr Floyd's pleaded: "I can't breathe."
George Floyd later died in hospital.
Since Mr Floyd's death, several states in the US have declared a State of Emergency and violent clashes have unfolded, with people burning down police stations, court houses, police vehicles, ex-slave markets, and buildings and statues regarded as historic and significant to white America.
Amid the violence, peaceful demonstrators have been coming together in support and solidarity, as demonstrated by Twitter user .
