The race between the coalition and Labor to secure seats in Queensland will continue on Thursday as Bill Shorten visits the Sunshine State.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has spent several days campaigning in Queensland, after Mr Shorten recently spent more than a week there.

The opposition leader is due to visit Queensland again on Thursday, as part of Labor's push to claim key marginal seats.

The coalition holds 21 of the 30 Queensland seats, but many of them are tight and could swing to Labor if the polls are correct.

Mr Morrison was in Brisbane's north on Wednesday, where he pledged $80 million for seven projects aimed at easing congestion in the area.
