Johnny Depp has again weighed in on his Australian quarantine case on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Depp and his wife Amber Heard plead guilty to illegally bringing their dogs into Australia in 2015. On the program, he was asked about the legal case and the  they recorded.

Depp took aim at Barnaby Joyce, who is also the Agriculture Minister, saying: "He looks somehow, like, inbred with a tomato."

"It's not a criticism. I was a little worried," Depp said.

"He might explode."
Depp also explained the process that went into the video's production, saying "a genius" was behind the idea and his iPhone directed it.

"These are the things you have to prepare a long time for and you know, to be able to tap into the emotion that you need," Depp said.

He then criticised the Australian government's threat to euthanase his dogs by saying "because there's so many poisonous creatures in Australia, you could die at any minute".

Kimmel then asked Depp if he had watched the video again, which Depp joked "no, because I didn't want to kill myself".
