* Australia is providing consular assistance to Julian Assange after he was arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

* Rugby Australia has vowed to terminate Israel Folau's multi-million-dollar contract unless he can explain his latest social media attack on homosexuals, while the NRL has ruled out welcoming him back to the code.
