AFL player in porn scandal

A young AFL player has had nude images of himself posted onto a porn website after he sent them to who he thought was a woman online.

An AFL player has reportedly had obscene images of himself placed on a pornographic website after being tricked into sending them.

The promising player is said to have sent the sexually explicit images via social media to a person he believed was a women, according to News Corp Australia.

But it's believed the person was a man who then posted the nude images and named the player on an X-rated website in the United States.

Both the player and his AFL club are now seeking legal advice on how to have the images removed.

The club has also said they would not take any action against the player, deeming it a private matter.

They said the incident should serve as a warning to others thinking of sharing explicit and private material online or via social media.

Legendary coach Mick Malthouse questioned the actions of players who put themselves in that position.

"These blokes, are they slow learners or what? I don't get it," he told SEN radio on Wednesday.

"I certainly don't think I've ever had to teach a group of players saying what you have to do, what you don't do and what you put on social media.

"You'd also like to think common sense doesn't jump out the window."
