Ukraine today - 24/05/2024

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Burbok, visited Ukraine - this is the seventh time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. In particular, she saw with her own eyes a power plant damaged by Russian shelling in the central part of Ukraine. The generating capacity of this station was damaged by Russian missile fire in April.

• The exercises with the use of nuclear weapons conducted by Russia are designed to frighten the politicians of the Western countries and force them to voluntarily resort to actions beneficial to the aggressor.
• Ukraine is clearly aware that the war with Russia will end with negotiations. However, it should not be a truce for a few years, but a lasting peace.
• That is why Volodymyr Zelenskyi's peace formula was prepared and is being promoted, said Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, during his participation in the "NATO 2024 and Arctic Europe" Forum in Finland.
• The Netherlands will hand over armored vehicles to Ukraine, said the Head of the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands Kaisa Ollongren during another meeting in the Ramstein format.
