From the foothills of Nepal to the laboratories of the world, scientist Ram Bhusal is working hard to better understand tuberculosis and defeat bovine ticks. Bhusal is a postdoctoral research fellow investigating ticks, which he says cost Aussie cattle farmers of about $300 million a year, as well as an important figure in current tuberculosis (TB) research, helping to determine how the bacterium survives in the body.
