The state government has announced it is reopening its Business Innovation and Investment Program on Monday, February 18th 2019, which was on hold for some time.

With this announcement comes the introduction of an Expression of Interest (EOI) process for visas like Subclass 188 (Business Innovation Stream), Subclass 188 (Entrepreneur Stream), Subclass 132 (Business Talent (Permanent) visa).

“Applicants will now need to submit an EOI for the relevant visa subclass in the Department of Home Affairs' SkillSelect and indicate their interest for the Victorian nomination,” the statement on the website reads.
Unlike earlier, now the applicants do not need to notify Victoria’s Skilled & Business Migration Program that they have submitted an EOI.

Those who have submitted Expression of Interest before 18 February 2019 in the SkillSelect system will need to resubmit to be considered for Victorian nomination.

The statement adds, “Victoria will also begin issuing invitations and assessing nomination applications for the 188 - Significant Investor Stream on 18 February. There are currently no process changes to nomination applications for this visa type.”
