Technically it's pi day but we're declaring Pie Day

Pi - the Greek letter “π” - is crucial in maths. Pie - in any language - is just downright delicious. March 14 celebrates the life of pi - so go eat 3.142 slices.

Pie is good any day of the year, but today pie lovers have extra reason to serve up a piece - or three and a bit - slices of pie.

Pi, or “π”, is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. Since the value is approximately 3.142, we think it only right that everyone should feel free to eat 3.142 slices of pie today, because March 14 is international

And of course, we have a world of pies for you to dive into! Starting with the savoury, and moving - of course- to our fave sweet pies, all robed in rich golden pastry.....
This recipe is for the Lebanese version of a meat pie, but these fragrant pastries don’t require tomato sauce.  And these great make-ahead snacks, because you can freeze uncooked sambousik for up to a month.

Say hello to golden flaky pastry and Moroccan-spiced filling, packed with chicken and vegetables.
Add a spoonful of duck fat to your pie crust for an extra golden finish.
